Introducing Power Water and its functional blend of BCAAs, caffeine and zero sugar

Introducing Power Water

If you head into your local Iceland supermarket or Food Warehouse in the United Kingdom, you’ll find a new sort of functional beverage on shelves, and only at those retailers. The product is called Power Water, a bottle of spring water with a convenient pop cap on top to open and close as you please. It is flavored, coming in Tropical, Cherry, and Blue Raspberry options, all without any sugar or carbohydrates and a low five calories a piece, but it is the functional portion of the drink that makes it stand out.

Power Water is essentially an energy drink featuring the three all-important BCAAs for muscle recovery and repair; unfortunately, no dose is mentioned, but it does claim a gram of protein, suggesting that could be the amount of BCAAs per bottle. A blend of B vitamins is in there, too, and to make it a genuine energy drink, it, of course, has caffeine, although not a huge amount at 100mg, putting it closer to a classic small can of Red Bull than something like a half-liter Monster Ultra or Rockstar.

The formula behind Power Water is fairly simple and to the point, combining B vitamins, BCAAs, and caffeine, all in the form of a half-liter bottle of flavored water. The zero-sugar and carbohydrate-free approach makes it a better-for-you beverage as well as a functional drink, and it doesn’t cost all that much. At Iceland, the price of a single bottle of Power Water is only £1 (1.32 USD) for any of its Tropical, Cherry, and Blue Raspberry flavors, and it did just hit the market, so look forward to more from the brand as it grows and becomes more popular with things like new flavors and variants.
