Mars recreates the Hazelnut version of Snickers as a high-protein low-sugar snack

Snickers Hazelnut Hiprotein Bar

Mars in the United Kingdom and Europe has been turning its many different treats and snacks into protein-packed innovations for several years; just recently, it recreated the Dark Chocolate Snickers as a functional food with a sizeable 20g of protein and a low single gram of sugar. The better-for-you side of the brand is back this month, taking another variant of its popular chocolate, caramel, nougat, and nut-filled candy bar and turning it into a protein-packed snack with the Snickers Hazelnut HiProtein Bar.

The Snickers Hazelnut HiProtein Bar is similar to the regular Snickers protein bar in the continent of Europe, where it mimics the original non-protein candy bar. The brand brings together a blend of nougat, salty caramel, peanuts, and hazelnuts, all wrapped in milk chocolate with a total of 20g of protein per piece, a low 2g of sugar, and 221 calories. Those macros are right in line with your average protein bar, but again, this comes in the form of an authentic, functional snack made by the legendary candy maker itself, Mars, and you can grab it when stock returns at the ever-reliable Protein Pick and Mix.
