Gym Kitchen takes a page out of Wheyhey’s book and does a protein milk but it has a lot more carbs

The Gym Kitchen Protein Milk

Wheyhey did something rather interesting at the start of the year with its own bottle of milk under its functional, high-protein, Protein Power banner. As many will know, milk itself is already high in protein, so you may be thinking, what’s the point, and the answer to that is that it has a much higher concentration of protein compared to traditional milk. Fellow UK-based brand The Gym Kitchen has gone and done the same sort of thing with its similarly and self-explanatorily named High Protein Milk.

Interestingly, compared to Wheyhey’s Protein Power Milk, The Gym Kitchen’s latest innovation is slightly more concentrated, providing a higher percentage of protein per milliliter. In an entire one-liter bottle of the product, you get 60g of protein, 2g of fat, 83g of carbohydrates, all of that sugar, and 590 calories. While that nutrition profile has marginally more protein, it also has a lot more carbs and sugar next to the Wheyhey offering, with 50g of protein but only 48g of carbs, all of which is still sugar.

The Gym Kitchen has confirmed that you can now get your hands on its High Protein Milk from the major supermarket Tesco, and its around 3,000 locations across the United Kingdom. The price of a single-liter bottle is £2.20 (2.86 USD), similar to standard milk, making it that extra bit more appealing to consumers who include some sort of milk in their weekly supermarket visit.
