LightWhey takes the idea of an ice cream sandwich literally in its latest innovation

Light Whey Vanilla Croissant

LightWhey is a frozen functional food company out of the United Arab Emirates, and it makes some incredibly tasty products, including pints of protein-packed ice cream, delicious ice cream sandwiches, and its almost unbelievable ice cream on a stick. The sandwich was the treat that put the brand on our radar, which the team at LightWhey is taking one step further this week with a similar sort of innovation, although it takes the sandwich part a bit more literally with the Vanilla Croissant.

Now available in the United Arab Emirates through LightWhey’s usual partners, like the convenient delivery service Deliveroo, is a croissant ice cream sandwich. Vanilla Croissant takes the concept of an ice cream cookie sandwich and swaps the cookies for halves of an actual soft and fluffy croissant. Again, it’s a very interesting concept that can be looked at in either direction, as a croissant with ice cream in it or ice cream with a croissant around it; either way, it’s a one-of-a-kind product.

Like LightWhey’s other frozen foods, Vanilla Croissant is high in protein, giving you 7g in a 66g piece, 16g of carbohydrates with 3g of that fiber and 4g sugar, 6g of fat, and 142 calories. The nutrition fits right into the brand’s realm of food with etxra protein, and Vanilla Croissant, plus its vanilla ice cream center, might be its most unique to do that. As mentioned, you can get the functional product starting this week in its home country alongside its other tasty frozen treats.
