Quest looks like it’s pulled an early April Fools’ Day prank with Protein Dressing

Quest Protein Dressing

Quest Nutrition appears to have put out its April Fools’ Day prank early; either that, or it genuinely is coming out with a truly innovative product with Quest Protein Dressing. Our past Functional Brand Of The Year has always been big on the occasion, putting together some of the most creative concepts we’ve ever seen. Quest has done protein-packed seasoning, savory pizza protein bars, hard protein seltzer, and the unique chocolate-dripped protein chips.

For 2026, we’ve got Quest Protein Dressing, which is a bottle of sauce that is absolutely loaded with protein, far more than your standard condiment. According to the brand, the functional innovation delivers a huge 45g of muscle-building protein per serving. With the bottle only being 14oz, there’s definitely not much room to squeeze in 45g of protein unless the serving is a fair share of the bottle, and then you’d be getting only a few servings.

High-protein sauce is certainly achievable, but it is the 45g of protein in Quest Protein Dressing that has us in the mindset that it’s an early April Fools’ Day prank. It’s not completely unusual for health and nutrition brands to announce something before the big day, then say it’s a prank on April 1st. That could be the case here, although if not, we’ll be getting an order in for any of its three potential varieties: Power Caesar, Macro Ranch, and Balsamic Gains.
