Lotte expands its protein bar family with its leanest offering to date

Lotte Crispy Protein Bar

Korean functional specialist Lotte is known for its better-for-you products, not so much its high protein foods, but it does have a few of them out there. The widely available brand actually has a family of protein bars providing as little as 6g of protein, albeit in a small 27g bar, all the way up to a dual-layer 60g option with the traditional 20g. The team has added another variety to that more protein-focused family this month, featuring the same branding and the leanest nutrition to date.

Lotte’s newest protein bar comes with a crispy and crunchy main body with peanuts throughout, a rich and decadent chocolate base, and a chocolate squiggle across the top. It is a Rice Krispies Treat-type experience with the peanuts scattered across the core and the chocolate adding a delicious touch of sweetness. As mentioned, this is the brand’s leanest protein bar to date, packing 20g protein, the same as the two-layer bar, although this weighs 50g and has an impressive calorie total of 180.

The protein-to-calorie ratio on the new Lotte Rice Krispies Treat-style protein bar is most certainly the standout, as most products that offer 20g of protein a piece tend to sit around the 200 to 220 calorie mark. Knowing the brand’s experience in great-tasting, better-for-you foods, we imagine this one offers a delicious eating experience, but even if it doesn’t, the protein-to-calorie balance gives it great functionality.
