Skinny Food makes a snack out of mini breadsticks that’s high in protein and low carbs

Skinny Food Co High Protein Grissini

The Skinny Food Co has been a busy bunch of functional food innovators recently; just yesterday, we had the past Functional Brand Of The Year nominee in the headlines with its two high fiber offerings, Fiber Delight Cookie and High Protein Chocaholic Wafer. We’ve got another innovation to share from the UK-based competitor with High Protein Grissini, which may not be a name you’ve heard before, but they are known by a much more familiar name in mini breadsticks.

The all-new High Protein Grissini from The Skinny Food Co is a small 50g bag of stick thing miniature breadsticks or, in this case, grissini, and they do have plenty of protein at 15g per bag. The carbohydrates are reasonably low for the amount of protein you get at 5g, practically none of that sugar, 9g of fat, and a calorie count of 90. Those are the macros on the standard version, which is just a crispy and crunchy snack, and there is another option in Tomato and Oregano.

Interestingly, The Skinny Food’s Tomato and Oregano flavor of High Protein Grissini comes in a 20% smaller 40g bag, with less protein at 13g, a similar balance in carbohydrates of 4g, almost zero sugar again, 7.2g of fat, and 156 calories. The flavored variant is practically a scaled-down way to go but with a fitting tomato and oregano taste, and you can grab either or both starting this week from the brand’s online store at £2.49 (3.14 USD) for a single bag.
