5-Hour wants to help you regain your lost sleep from daylight savings with a 1-Hour Energy Shot

1 Hour Energy Shot

The legendary energy shot company, 5-Hour Energy, famously providing five hours of energy in its compact 2oz shot, proved several times last year how creative it can be, whether we’re talking about its CitraPeak-infused Sport Pre-Workout Shot or its caffeinated BBQ Sauce. The brand takes advantage of occasions and events to genuinely stand out, and with daylight savings right around the corner, fans are being treated to that once again with something specifically for that one hour loss of sleep.

5-Hour Energy has carefully put together its smallest innovation in history with the 1-Hour Energy Shot. The unique product is a fifth of the size of the standard 2oz energy shot, featuring a lighter hit of caffeine, presumably a fifth of the Regular Strength 5-Hour Energy Shot, which should work out to 40 to 50mg a bottle. The idea is that you would use this to adjust to the time change during daylight savings, where you have to put your clocks one hour forward, meaning you’ll lose an entire hour of sleep.

Basically, while you lose one hour of sleep thanks to daylight savings, 5-Hour Energy and its extra-small, special edition 1-Hour Energy Shot look to normalize the change by giving you an extra hour of energy. It’s a fun concept and great marketing stunt, and better yet, the brand has been giving it away. 1-Hour Energy was being thrown in as a freebie with direct purchases of any 5-Hour product at 5hourenergy.com, and while it has already run out, it is coming back and will be available soon.
