Black Market takes a solid swing at the nootropic category in its all-new Bump

Black Market Bump

Black Market’s latest innovation, Bump, has arrived, and while we suspected it to be a pre-workout, as is the case with most of the supplements from the original underground company, that is not entirely the case this time around. While you can use Bump before your workout or any physical activity, it is officially a nootropic. The product has been built specifically to elevate and enhance focus and cognition with a moderate hit of caffeine for energy.

The price of Black Market’s Bump is not too bad at $49.99 for a tub of 20 maximum servings, or 40 if you like the look of the half serving’s dosages. It’s right around the cost of the supplement company’s other premium, advanced offerings, and to be fair, you could actually stack Bump with some of those. This is primarily a nootropic product, and the caffeine is about the same as your typical energy drink, making it rather versatile and somewhat stackable.

You can see the complete facts panel for the nootropic Bump above, and Black Market has approached the space from all sorts of angles. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a completely new and stacked competitor enter the dedicated focus space, and the underground brand is not playing around. In its full two-scoop serving, you get classics like tyrosine at a hefty 4g, alpha-gpc at a more typical 600mg, 100mg of 5-HTP, and the nootropic mushroom extract lion’s mane at half a gram.

Going alongside all of that, Black Market’s nootropic Bump has a few lesser-known or uncommon components like uridine at 100mg, PeakUQ branded pyrroloquinoline quinone, usually referred to as PQQ at 20mg in a full serving, and 60mg of synephrine. As mentioned earlier, caffeine is in there too, but not a lot, with 160mg from two sources plus another 80mg of theanine for a smooth energy hit, nicely complementing the focus, cognition, and concentration.
