KOS takes a unique approach to hydration infusing its supplement with pea protein

Kos Hydration Protein

Health and wellness brand KOS has hit the hydration category, although not with the approach that you’d expect, nor is it really similar to anything you’d typically see from a newcomer to the space. The brand has actually infused its hydration innovation with another major space, one of the biggest in the sports nutrition industry. The product explains away everything in its name and backs it up in formula, introducing KOS Hydration Protein.

Instead of doing a straightforward, standalone electrolyte blend and leaving it at that, KOS has blended a solid set of electrolytes with protein for a refreshing, rehydrating, clear-style experience. Every serving of Hydration Protein comes with 12g of protein from rice protein, 4g of carbohydrates, no sugar, and zero fat for 60 calories. Those are low numbers but they can be scaled, where double would get you 24g of protein and 120 calories.

The electrolyte total of KOS Hydration Protein comes to more than a gram, with the main providers being sodium, potassium, and chloride at 300mg, 400mg, and 400mg, respectively. It is most definitely a unique entry into protein, where you very simply get a moderate amount of protein with hydration, performance, and recovery-supporting electrolytes. The supplement is available direct in small pouchs of seven servings exclusively in light and fruit flavors.
