Tsunami’s functional family welcomes hoop-shaped cereal with 35% protein

Tsunami Nutrition Protein Rings

Tsunami Nutrition in Italy is as strong on the functional side of things as much as it is in health and nutrition supplements, with more formats and foods to choose from than most in its market, which is a statement in Europe. Joining that already extensive selection this week is Protein Rings, a crispy and crunchy hoop-shaped cereal that packs a good amount of protein but does come with an equal amount of carbohydrates too.

Protein Rings from Tsunami Nutrition comes with 35g of protein in a 100g serving, so 17 or 18g if you want to scale it down to something more moderate like 50g. The carbohydrates are right around that same area where the 100g serving has 36g of carbs, although not much of that is sugar at just over a single gram. The fat falls a pinch under 10g and the calories definitely get up there with the protein to carb ratio at 360.

Another feature of the Tsunami Nutrition innovation is that it’s plant-based and vegan-friendly, as the protein doesn’t come from any dairy sources like whey and milk, instead, it relies on soy and pea protein. The Italian brand has also surprised a bit with the number of flavors you have to choose from, as Protein Rings has debuted with five flavors currently at €6.90 each, including Chocolate Hazelnut, Peanut Butter, and one called Classic.
