Aminovital launches a colorful new jelly drink filled with 3g of aminos

AminoVital Jelly Drink

Squeeze gel or jelly foods and snacks are common in Japan, so it’s no surprise that there are some on the market that have functional benefits. You can find complex carbohydrate formulas stuffed into the tasty format, hefty amounts of protein, and even amino acids for recovery. The major Japanese brand Aminovital already had a few jelly-type supplements on the market, and has added to that list this month with Amikatsu.

The convenient functional innovation has plenty of carbohydrates, common for jelly drinks, at 30g per pack for a total of 120 calories. As for the functional side of Amikatsu, it is stuffed with free-form amino acids to support muscle recovery and repair. There is 3g per squeeze pack, but it’s not your typical BCAAs or even EAAs; it’s a blend of the three BCAAs, arginine, proline, and alanine, almost half of it being alanine at 1.35g.

Aminovital has given its new Amikatsu quite a different look from its other supplements, with much more vibrant colors that change from flavor to flavor. The Japanese brand has rolled out the amino-filled product in two tastes, both light and fruity, with Morning Lychee and Pink Grapefruit. Aminovital has launched Amikatsu in 7-Eleven convenience stores in Tokyo and Kinki, as well as pharmacies across the country.
