French functional brand Joyfuel is a delicious and colorfully branded competitor that has a respectable presence throughout Europe, led by its signature Joyfuel Protein Bar. Like most others in the bar market in that part of the world, Joyfuel’s flagship features a candy bar-style build with layers of taste and texture. It packs the usual 20g of protein and also has a vegan-friendly version, but starting this month, there is the Joyfuel Fondant Bar.
The official title of the newest innovation from the French functional food company is Joyfuel Coeur Fondant, which essentially describes the center of the product or core, as it has a soft, creamy fondant-like filling down the middle. This is a whole new build and offering for the brand where you get that fondant filling through the center of the protein bar’s doughy body, then around the outside are crunchy pieces and a chocolate coating.
The protein in the Joyfuel Fondant Protein Bar is lower than its original protein snack at 17g per piece, around 15g of carbohydrates, less than a gram of that sugar, just under 10g of fat, and calories under that 200 mark at 185. The product is a more flavorful offering compared to the regular Joyfuel Protein Bar, and pictures make it look more than worth the drop in protein, out now in Europe in Double Chocolate and Salted Caramel flavors.
