Ice cream specialist Oppo makes a high protein product packing 15g per pot

Oppo Pro Protein Ice Cream

Oppo Brothers is an ice cream specialist in the United Kingdom, which makes some incredibly delicious, mouthwatering ice creams, in large tubs and on a stick, including Gooey Chocolate Brownie, Salted Caramel Biscuit Crunch sticks, and the bite-sized Salted Caramel ice cream balls. The brand has turned into functional ice cream, with its first-ever Oppo Pro, a protein-packed ice cream that looks as decadent as its ordinary products.

The protein in a 250ml pot of Oppo Pro Protein Ice Cream is 15g, not a huge amount compared to a protein bar or other protein ice creams, but much higher than its regular frozen dessert products. The carbohydrates are about normal, sitting around 20 to 22g, and a fair amount of that is sugar, most of it, at 15 to 16g. The fat is fair at about 8g, and the calories make for a tough protein-to-calorie ratio, sitting just over 200 at 235.

It would’ve been nicer to see the protein get up into the area of 20g, making Oppo Pro a bit more comparable to a traditional protein bar, although we are talking about a decadent ice cream here, filled with chocolate and strawberry sauce, and chunks of chocolate and biscuit. Oppo’s Protein Ice cream is now available in the United Kingdom in two mouthwatering flavors: Strawberry Cheesecake and a rich Chocolate Brownie.
