Gaming giant Razer and Mars are developing a line of functional foods under the Respawn brand

Razor X Mars Respawn Snacks

The gaming lifestyle giant Razer, which makes mice, mousepads, laptops, and headsets, essentially everything you could create for that world, got into the world of supplements several years ago with Respawn. The product came in tubs and stick packs, while its formula was rather light, even for the gaming supplement category, it was great to see a company as large as that step into the business and take a swing.

Since then, Razer’s Respawn brand has evolved into functional mints and chewing gum, which are infused with functional ingredients, like theanine, B vitamins, and caffeine from green tea in the gum, with the mints being caffeine-free. It’s been a while since we’ve seen or heard anything supremely exciting from Razer in the area of Respawn, but something is coming from that, and it’s potentially going to be rather significant.

Razor X Mars Partnership

Razer and the major food company Mars have come together and will be developing an entire line of snacks and foods to support and enhance the gaming lifestyle and gameplay, under the Respawn banner. While currently the line only has mints and gum, that sounds like it is about to expand into all different formats. With the added functionality in the Respawn products out now, we have a sneaking suspicion this will lead to more functional items.

Mars has pumped out its fair share of protein supplements in Europe, including bars and powders inspired by its iconic candy bars. A clean Respawn meal replacement with a Mars brand flavor would go down incredibly well with gamers, not to mention an energy drink with an authentic taste from one of Mars’ many candies. There are so many directions this could go, and we look forward to seeing how it unfolds.
