Liquid Death wants the feel of its energy drink to be more like a cup of coffee

Caffeine Feel In Liquid Death Energy Drink

Liquid Death chose not to wait until we were close to the launch of its latest beverage expansion; in fact, it’s still half a year away from coming to market. We’re talking about the Liquid Death Energy Drink, due to hit the market in the first month of next year. It is going to be completely sugar-free and debut in four flavors, all in sleek 12oz cans with Murder Mystery, Scary Strawberry, Orange Horror, and Tropical Terror.

The interesting twist on this one is that Liquid Death Sparkling Energy is not shooting for that high-end hit of caffeine; it’s gone for a smoother, more subtle level of 100mg of natural caffeine, or as the brand refers to it, “Unextreme Caffeine”. It is an interesting strategy as there are only a handful of competitors that have opted for that more Red Bull level of caffeine, where you get 114mg in its 12oz energy drink.

In the marketing of the Liquid Death Energy Drink, it says, “Feels Like A Coffee. Not An Electric Chair.” The canned water company is clearly showing it wants to offer a subtler shot of energy closer to a cup of coffee rather than the heights of Monster, 200mg in the likes of Ghost, or even 300mg of Bang and Reign. Liquid Death has also added theanine to its energy drink for an even smoother, seamless energy elevation.

The energy drink category continues to grow, and with Liquid Death in the mix for 2026, things are only going to get more so. The company has proven it can shake up a category even as straightforward as water, so we can only imagine how Liquid Death Sparkling Energy is going to go. Again, the beverage is hitting the market in January and will likely be showing up everywhere with the brand’s strong distribution.
