Foodtech debuts its long-awaited RTD packing 20g of protein and 12g of carbohydrates

Foodtech Protein Shake

Protein has been the biggest topic of conversation this year in the health and nutrition industry, and while we’ve seen plenty of protein snacks, treats, and real food formats, the majority have been beverages. That trend hasn’t been limited to here in the US; it is very much international. We have a great example of that here at the end of August in the latest innovation from the Chilean supplement company Foodtech.

Foodtech has not gone the clear route or taken any other alternative approach in its all-new ready-to-drink protein. The international competitor has kept things traditional, or mostly traditional, relying on whole milk, whey, and some soy isolate for its 20g of protein per can. The other macros could be better at 12g of carbohydrates, most of that is sugar at 10g, and 6.6g of fat, ending on a calorie count just shy of 200.

We usually prefer a much leaner nutrition profile when it comes to ready-to-drink protein, although knowing that there is 10g of sugar in every can, you can count on Foodtech’s Protein Shake tasting damn good. It has just hit the market in its home country of Chile, and it has all of the usual suspects on its menu in Chocolate Milkshake, Vanilla Ice Cream, Cookies N’ Cream, and a sweet Strawberries N’ Cream.
