Unlike other functional companies that play in the cereal format, Surreal has now expanded beyond its signature product into things like protein bars, as we’ve seen from Magic Spoon, and Overnight Oats from Eleat. Surreal is about to change that with a move other functional innovators have made with High Protein Granola, the first real expansion from the UK-based brand beyond its original puff-style protein cereal.
Surreal High Protein Granola is a wholesome and nutritious new product coming from the functional specialist, a fitting format as it keeps the brand in that breakfast food family. As mentioned, the product is high in protein with 11g per serving, a fair amount of carbohydrates, as this is granola, high fiber, and just a gram of sugar. It is indeed a better-for-you granola that has more protein and less sugar compared to your typical offering.
We’re not sure when exactly Surreal High Protein Granola is going to become available, but it looks as delicious as the original cereal, if not more so, with actual chocolate drops throughout the granola and hazelnut pieces. The one flavor that’s been revealed so far for the innovation is obviously Chocolate & Hazelnut, which is coming in a moderately sized 300g pouch and is expected to have a retail price of £4.79.
