Popular Australian brand Adonis is mostly known for its protein supplements, especially its alternative and dessert-like Protein Cookie Dough, which pairs protein powder macros with a thick sludge experience reminiscent of cookie dough. The health and nutrition company also has creatine, protein snacks, cream of rice, and now a powder pre-workout, one of the most competitive categories in sports supplements.
The latest innovation from Adonis is named after its energy drink with the Big Energy Pre-Workout, and it is respectably formulated with solid dosages of reliable ingredients to deliver a comprehensive performance. On the pump side, you get 4g of citrulline malate, then to drive performance and endurance, there is a light 450mg of taurine, electrolytes, 3g of the ever-present beta-alanine, and the tried and true creatine monohydrate at 2g.

Rounding out the combination of ingredients in Adonis’ newly released Big Energy Pre-Workout are all of the energy and focus components in 300mg of choline bitartrate, 100mg of TeaCrine, and a rather moderate 200mg of caffeine anhydrous. The formula isn’t supremely stacked in terms of variety of ingredients or dosages, although for a brand that is more about function and nutrition, it is a solid offering.
Adonis’ new entry into the pre-workout category is already in stock and available for purchase straight from its online store in tubs of 30 servings. The balanced product comes in three flavors in Blue Slushie, Berry, and Cola. As for the price, it’s not too bad for the Australian market at $59.99 (39.24 USD), falling just into the $30 range, which explains and makes up for that somewhat safe approach to the formula.
