Tim Hortons adds high-protein milk to its menu alongside all-new Protein Lattes

Tim Hortons Protein Lattes

Starbucks isn’t the only coffee specialist getting in on the protein trend in the second half of the year, which, for those that missed it, is rolling out high-protein milk and cold foam later this month, which can net you over 40g of protein. Canadian giant Tim Hortons has cooked up something special, too, with its own collection of high-protein beverages, introducing Protein Lattes and Protein Iced Lattes.

Tim Hortons is doing much the same as Starbucks, rolling high-protein milk into its coffeehouses, which is also lactose-free. In the all-new Protein Lattes, that milk helps pump up the muscle-building macronutrient to 20g, and for the Protein Iced Lattes, you’re looking at slightly less at 17g. Those numbers are based on Tim Horton’s Medium 14oz size, so in the Extra Large 24oz it could be as much as 33g of protein.

It is worth noting that both of Tim Hortons’ Protein Lattes and Protein Iced Lattes aren’t just about giving you more protein; they’re focusing on better-for-you nutrition in its entirety, as they’re made with sugar-free syrup for much better calories. The high-protein milk can be utilized in other beverages, not just the stock Protein Lattes, and it’s all making its way out to Tim Hortons across Canada this month.
