The latest list of top stories from the past seven days covers a mix of festive deals, creative flavor innovation, and major retailer promotions. Barebells once again drew attention, although from two separate angles and news stories. Firstly, the protein bar leader announced its advent calendar is returning this year, and you can get early access by signing up, and it exclusively launched a whole new bar in Germany in two flavors.

C4 Energy is another name that captured strong engagement with the debut of its newest and arguably most playful flavor yet, Cereal Killer. Inspired by fruity breakfast cereal, the launch came with a fun campaign around the “murder” of the discontinued Grape Frost. The drink is already available directly from Cellucor’s website, and with discounts applied, fans can grab it at a pretty competitive price, getting as low as $1.86 a can.

Our round-up of the innovation from NACS this year was another major feature, which in itself lists 20 separate stories from the annual event. GNC rounds out the week’s activity with the return of its 90-cent drinks and snacks promotion, running for six weeks leading up to Christmas, and it involves the likes of Redcon1 and Ghost.
