Over the last couple of days, we’ve shared details on two all-new functional innovations from Barebells in the Hazelnut Spread and Chocolate Spread Protein Bars. They’ve launched exclusively at retailers in Germany, and as far as we know, nowhere else in the world. From the outside, they do look like two flavors of a whole new bar, and with images coming out of how it looks inside, we can confirm that is very much the case.
Barebells Hazelnut Spread and Chocolate Spread Protein Bars are flavors of a functional food separate from any of its other snacks, including the Soft Protein Bar, soft and foamy Chewy Bar, and the flagship Barebells Protein Bar. You can see in the image above that the Spread Protein Bar features a doughy base and a chocolate outer, but mostly, where it differs is at the top, in the center, there is a layer of soft and flavorful spread.
In the Hazelnut Spread Protein Bar, the spread is hazelnut flavored with crunchy nuts around the outside, and in Chocolate Spread, the flavor-loaded part is chocolate with crispy chocolate pieces outside. It’s not too different from the regular Barebells Protein Bar, just a lot of the flavor is tucked into that thick spread down the center. Again, this one is only in Germany, so if you want to experience it, you’ll have to do some hunting.
