Efectiv Nutrition, a core competitor in the UK market, has taken the opportunity of its recent rebrand to revamp its protein powder, one of its most popular supplements. The big change comes in the sources of proteins it uses, where the original combined whey concentrate and isolate, and milk concentrate and powder. It’s still very much a lean protein product, but now with only one ingredient supplying the muscle-building macro.
Efectiv Nutrition’s all-new Efectiv Whey V2 relies entirely on whey concentrate, no isolate or milk, for 22 to 23g of protein in a standard 30g serving, about 2g of carbohydrates, almost all of it sugar, 1.4g of fat, and 110 to 114 calories. Those numbers are slightly better in protein-to-calories than the previous iteration, but at the end of the day, it’s still a quality source of protein, and it has a strong selection of flavors with something for everyone.
The value of Efectiv Whey does seem to have changed, at least compared to last month, where the original was listed at £49.99 for a 2kg bag. Efectiv Nutrition’s refined V2 is currently available direct at £59.99 (79.86 USD) for a 1.8kg tub, which is still great value, but marginally higher. Again, there are plenty of flavors on the menu for launch, including Banana, Lemon Cheesecake, Milk Chocolate, Biscuit Spread, and Vanilla Cheesecake.
