Prime Ice Series is getting a new Grape flavor and moving to zero sugar

Prime Ice Zero Edition

The Ice Series is Prime’s lighter-tasting family of flavors of its signature Prime Hydration sports drink, originally debuted in three flavors with Blue Chill, Red Chill, and Orange. At NACS this year, the beverage behemoth was showing off several differences with that particular series that are all noteworthy. Firstly, the brand made some tweaks to the names of the flavors, now reading Berry Ice, Cherry Ice, and Orange Ice.

Prime has also shown off a whole new flavor for the Ice Series in Grape Ice, bringing the softer family of sports drinks to a total of four. The other change that you can see above is where the products used to say “Ice” at the bottom, they now read “Zero”. That’s not just something that’s been thrown in there to replace the name of the series; all of the Prime Ice drinks at NACS are zero sugar with 10 calories.

The current Ice Series Prime Hydration Drinks you’ll find at stores have between a gram and 2g of sugar, so the zero sugar is only a slight adjustment, but a milestone nonetheless to have “0” on the nutrition label for sugar. We haven’t seen any announcements for any of this or official listings on Prime’s website, suggesting the Prime Ice change-up, with its new Grape flavor and no sugar, is coming at a later date.
