We’ve said it many times before that flavors on the international scene can get far more interesting due to the many different tastes, norms, cultures, and preferences when stepping outside of the major North American market. The team at Zone Energy in Japan has proven that many times since we started following with some of the most recent extensions to its flagship bottled energy drink being Tea Ade, and a sour and spicy collaboration with UFO noodles.
Closing out the year, the extensively available Japan-based Zone Energy has launched another flavor that sees it get together with other brands for one extremely interesting offering. Zone has teamed up with the food giant and one of its most popular items in Nissin Curry Meshi, and PlayStation, specifically to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The taste they have made together is Mango Lassi, a sweet and delicious mango-based smoothie drink popular in India.
Zone Energy has named its collaboration with Nissin Curry Meshi and PlayStation, Gaming 24/7, and the design feature on its 400ml aluminum bottle was apparently inspired by the iconic PlayStation controller. The product is out now in Japan for a limited time, with a more moderate level of caffeine at 75mg, although the same can’t be said for the carbohydrates and calories, as the sugar in this is 37g from 41g of carbs, ending on a hefty calorie count of 169.
