Chipotle introduces its extensive High Protein Menu with up to 81g of protein per serving

Chipotle High Protein Cup

Protein has been the hot word this year, and we’re not talking about the supplement industry as the muscle-building macronutrient has always been a key component. It is mainstream brands that have been adding protein to their products or, in some cases, raising the protein beyond what they already had. The popular food chain Chipotle is the latest to make that move, announcing and introducing its loaded High Protein Menu.

The company has put together a whole host of delicious foods that are, per the name — High Protein Menu — are packed full of protein, and in some of the items, packed with even more than you’d expect. One of the most straightforward entries and something Chipotle should have already had available is the High Protein Cup. It is a straightforward cup with 4oz of Adobo chicken or steak, providing a clean 32g of protein and 180 calories.

Other creations Chipotle has crafted specifically for its High Protein Menu are the Double High Protein Bowl, combining Adobo chicken, some white rice, and Monterey jack cheese for 81g of protein, 11g of fiber, and 760 calories. There is also the Double High Protein Burrito with 79g of protein and 840 calories, and the Adobo Chicken Taco with 15g of protein and 190 calories.

Chipotle was already a great place to go to customize and help hit your daily macro totals, especially in the protein department with its meat-heavy offerings. The restaurant has made that a lot easier with its High Protein Menu, especially the High Protein Cup. You could even grab a double or just two for 8oz of chicken or steak for a damn good 64g of protein and 360 calories, which is not a balance you’ll find in many other places.
