Applied Nutrition combines flavor, texture and lean nutrition in its ice cream

Applied Nutrition Protein Ice Cream

Yesterday, we shared details on Applied Nutrition’s absolutely massive selection of healthy solutions, functional innovations, and familiar foods with even more protein than usual. We’re putting the spotlight back on the international brand and that huge wave of products, available exclusively at Morrisons supermarkets, starting this week. The one we really wanted to focus on is a market very few health and nutrition companies ever touch, and that is ice cream.

Amongst the functional family of more than 50 products from Applied Nutrition is Protein Ice Cream, available in a single pint tub of 480ml, to be more precise, and it has two flavors to choose from in Salted Caramel and Cookie Dough. The macros aren’t as lean as we’ve seen from others making protein-packed ice cream, but they top the major players like Halo Top and Enlightened, with 18 to 20g of protein per pot, 36 to 45g of carbohydrates, and 292 to 344 calories.

Knowing how good Applied Nutrition is at flavoring, and how the nutrition profile has remained more typical than an extremely lean protein-to-calorie ratio, we imagine the brand’s Protein Ice Cream isn’t just good, but a great-tasting entry. Similar to the rest of the protein foods from Applied, the soft, smooth, and frozen treat is available from this week at Morrisons supermarkets, where a single pint pot is £4 (5.39 USD), or £3 (4.04 USD) if you purchase three or more.
