The Delicious Protein Bar from Nutrend is precisely that, a flavor-first protein snack that features a candy bar-like taste and texture. The innovation debuted in Vanilla Caramel and Peanut Caramel flavors, built around a smooth doughy base, a thick gooey caramel and peanut layer across the top, and all covered in rich chocolate. The Czech brand has now doubled the menu of the mouthwatering offering, and there is consistency between the extensions, like the first two.
New to market this month for Nutrend’s Delicious Protein Bar is Double Pistachio and Dubai Chocolate flavors, and the consistency between them is a smooth pistachio, similar to the caramel theme in Vanilla and Peanut Caramel. Dubai Chocolate has a chocolate doughy base and creamy pistachio across the top with a chocolate coating, while Double Pistachio follows through on its name, having the same creamy filling and outer, but its base is a pistachio flavor.
The nutrition profile of the Delicious Protein Bar extensions is not far off the caramel-filled pair with 13.5g of protein per piece, 17g of carbohydrates, around 2g of that sugar, 12g of fat, and 216 calories. Again, this product is Nutrend’s flavor-focused offering, form over function, hence the slightly off protein-to-calorie ratio. Both the Dubai Chocolate and Double Pistachio Delicious Bars are now available in Nutrend’s home market and soon in other European countries.
