Dragon refreshes the look and formula of its classic watermelon-flavored energy drink

New Watermelon Dragon Energy Drink

Energy drink brand Dragon has shared a rather interesting update for one of the many flavors it has available in its original local market of South Africa. On the home menu for the energy drink, you get plenty of unique options like Xtreme Citrus, Fusion Iced Fruit, Rebel, Peachy Nut, Mavrik Storm, and Strawberry Split. There are some more straightforward tastes too, like Watermelon, which has been around for a while, but you may want to grab it again in the coming weeks.

Dragon has decided to give back to its long-running watermelon-based flavor, simply named Watermelon, including a makeover. The beverage now looks a lot different, dropping its diagonal design and dragon emblem for an eye-catching text-dominated design with watermelon graphics across it. The brand has also said it’s improved the formula, which we have to assume means overall taste, as on paper, it has the same 150mg of caffeine, 18g of sugar, and 79 calories.

The revamped Watermelon Dragon Energy Drink appears to be rolling out to retailers already in its usual half-liter can size, and again, it will be easy to spot as it has a much more bold and colorful design that screams watermelon.
