Quest’s unforgettably delicious Protein Candy Bar is back with a bit more protein

Peanutty Caramel Quest Candy Bar

Quest Nutrition dove headfirst into a candy bar-like experience many years ago with the launch of its Candy Series, specifically its absolutely delicious Quest Candy Bar in its original Gooey Caramel flavor. That product tasted like an actual candy bar, and while it sacrificed lean macros for addictively good taste and texture, the nutrition profile on it was more than reasonable at 12g of protein per piece, 3g of net carbohydrates, just a gram of sugar, and 210 calories.

It seems as though Quest Nutrition has revamped that product, or at least that approach and series, with a whole new Quest Candy Bar. The product is still shooting for that mouthwatering candy bar-like experience, hence the name, with macros that are not far from your typical protein bar. While we haven’t tasted the evolution of the functional food, the macros are even better this time around, keeping the calories about the same but marginally increasing the protein.

Quest Nutrition’s all-new Quest Candy Bar packs 15g of protein with whey isolate as the primary source, 4g of net carbohydrates, 2g of that sugar, slightly less fat, and again, the same calories at 210 apiece. It’s all going to come down to how good the product tastes, because if it’s on par with the original, it is going to be one hell of a competitor. The first Quest Candy Bar eventually came in a few flavors, and even a smaller bite-sized version; all of them were delicious.

The updated Quest Candy Bar is available first through the brand’s own online store at a price of $32.99 for a box of 12, and it comes in the one Peanutty Caramel flavor, blending a doughy base topped with gooey caramel and peanuts, and a covering of chocolate.
