Metalab reinforces Moonwalk with electrolytes in response to the rise in hydration products

Metalab Updated Moonwalk

The hydration category has exploded over the last few years, quickly becoming more popular when it comes to innovation and new supplements than another well-known intra-workout or during exercise product, in amino acids. Brands have made dedicated electrolyte-based formulations a core part of their catalog, excluding South Africa’s Metalab, which has just answered that rise in hydration popularity in a very different way.

Instead of coming out with a separate hydration supplement, Metalab has revamped its long-running amino cocktail Moonwalk to include a fair amount of electrolytes. Everything else has stayed pretty much the same, including 7.1g of all nine essential amino acids, 2g each of taurine and glutamine, and 50mg of the performance powerhouse Senactiv. The additions come by way of a combined 500mg of electrolytes, all to support hydration, breaking down into 250mg of sodium, 100mg each of potassium and calcium, and 50mg of magnesium.

Basically, to answer the call and demand of hydration, Metalab has reinforced its amino acid product Moonwalk with a fair amount of electrolytes. Half a gram isn’t huge, although if you’re someone who double-serves or even heaping scoops, that will push the numbers up close to the gram level. Fans can grab the new and improved supplement direct with three fruity flavors to choose from at a price of R549 (34.50 USD).
