Brazilian brand Bold has extended the menu of its protein bar with a flavor that is hard to do, although in our experience, companies in South America tend to absolutely knock it out of the park. Bold is well distributed and widely available in its home country, and it’s hard to miss on shelves with its bold colors and branding, no pun intended. It has a strong variety of formats and types of snacks, but today the focus is on the flagship Bold Protein Bar.
Joining the many other tastes already available for the deliciously sweet and smooth protein snack, like Chocolate Truffle, Strawberry Mousse, and Peanut Brittle & Chocolate, is Passion Fruit Mousse. It features a doughy passion fruit base with gooey passion fruit across the top and white chocolate around the outside. The nutrition profile breaks down to 21g of protein from whey and milk, 20g of carbohydrates, no added sugar, and 215 calories.
Again, we’ve tried a few passion fruit-flavored protein bars in South America, as well as all of the products in the Bold catalog, and are confident that the new Passion Fruit Mousse Bold Protein Bar tastes as good as it looks, and it does look good. The flavor is rolling out to retailers as far as we know, but can already be purchased directly from the brand’s own website at R$179 (34.27 USD) for a box of 12 and up to 10% off for bulk purchases.
