Two of the biggest physical health and nutrition supplement retailers in the country are GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe, the latter of which has time and time again shown a great ability to evolve, change, and innovate. It has done a great job at changing with the times and introducing new initiatives, and the latest example of that is its first Innovation Store, where consumers will be introduced to a variety of new and modern features that you won’t find at other locations.
The Vitamin Shoppe has opened a new Innovation Store on New York City’s Upper East Side, introducing an innovation-forward retail format to East 86th Street. The location is the first to feature Shoppe Advisor, an AI-powered digital discovery tool delivering product information, wellness content, and real-time inventory access. The system supports personalized in-store education, improved associate interaction, and seamless browsing across physical shelves and online.
The unique new store carries many of the usual vitamins, supplements, sports nutrition, functional foods, and drinks, while also serving as an events hub. The opening was kicked off last month with a Raw Nutrition takeover featuring athlete Sara Saffari, dietitian consultations, and product giveaways. It involved a limited-time juice press making smoothies using Raw’s signature whey protein powder and BodyTech Elite creatine, which was available until this past Friday.
