Ahead adds another cereal to its catalog that’s ring-shaped and high in protein

Ahead Protein Bites Cereal

The colorful German functional food company Ahead Nutrition already has all sorts of subcategories and formats covered with its extensive array of high-protein snacks and better-for-you items. It was already in the world of cereal with its rather intriguing Low Sugar Cereal, which is a pocket-style product with a delicious creamy filling. It isn’t high in protein; instead, Ahead has designed it as more of a low-sugar alternative.

New to market this month is a second cereal from Ahead Nutrition, and this time, we get a more traditional shape and the concept of high protein. The innovation is simply named Ahead Protein Bites, but it is a hoop-shaped cereal that you can throw in a bowl of milk and eat like ordinary breakfast cereal. The nutrition breakdown starts with 11g of protein in a 30g serving, an equal 11g of carbohydrates, close to absolutely zero sugar, around 3g of fat, and 100 calories.

Ahead Nutrition has made Protein bites exclusively with plant-based sources of protein in soy isolate and pea concentrate, and all-natural sweeteners in stevia. It’s another great entry into the German brand’s massive catalog, as again, it was in cereal, although not in this shape or with this angle. You can grab the latest protein snack from Ahead’s website in Rainbow Rings and Cinnamon Rings flavors at €5.99 (6.95 USD) a box.
