Last year, Bucked Up took home one of our many Expo Awards at the Arnold Sports Festival, winning Best Innovation with its Lightly Carbonated Protein Drink. For the health and fitness event this year, the brand has decided to step things up by introducing two completely new drinks. They’re both quite different from Lightly Carbonated Protein and the longer running Bucked Up Energy, introducing Drive Hydration and Refresher.
We’ll go over Bucked Up Drive Hydration first, which is electrolyte-based, as you’d expect by the name, although there is much more to this. You get more than half a gram of combined electrolytes, as well as beta-alanine to enhance performance, superior GeniusPure alpha-gpc and n-acetyl-l-tyrosine to support focus, and InnovaBean for 50mg of natural caffeine. The beverage has also been sweetened with OnoSweet to ensure a delicious, guilt-free, low-calorie taste.
As for the other new beverage Bucked Up has at this year’s Arnold Sports Festival, Bucked Up Refresher, that one is also more than it initially seems. The innovation combines performance-supporting beta-alanine, the three all-important BCAAs for muscle recovery, and betaine. There are also some nootropics and caffeine, like Drive Hydration, with choline bitartrate, n-acetyl-l-tyrosine, huperzine, and 100mg of caffeine from classic anhydrous.
Bucked Up came through with the surprises last year in its Lightly Carbonated Protein Drink, and it’s doing it again this year, but with twice the excitement in Drive Hydration and Bucked Up Refresher. Both of the innovations are available to try in person at the Arnold Expo this weekend in Columbus, Ohio, with Refresher coming in a Strawberry Acai flavor, and for Drive, the flavors are Grape, Strawberry Lemonade, and Mango Mandarin.
