Weider develops a collagen-based protein snack and names it after Joe Weider’s wife

Weider Better Collagen Bar

The strong European supplement company Weider is named after the bodybuilding legend Joe Weider, which many consumers will already be aware of and can instantly pick up on when they see its logo, a stylized illustration of Weider himself. The brand has brought in a bit of history with its latest functional innovation, as while Weider has been named after Joe Weider, it has just come out with a protein bar that’s named after his wife.

The latest edible item from Weider is called Betty’s Collagen Protein Bar, and instead of utilizing just the likes of whey or milk, it uses collagen. It’s not a complete protein, but it does add the signature benefits of collagen in support of healthy hair, skin, and nails. The product provides a total of 15g of protein per bar, which the brand transparently outlines, 6g is from multi-benefit collagen, and the rest is from milk protein and whole milk powder.

Thanks to its collagen-based build, Weider’s Betty Collagen Protein Bar features a different sort of build, where you get a soft and spongy center, almost like a jelly, then it’s covered in rich milk chocolate all around the outside. The brand has two flavors for the collagen-backed snack, the first being one for chocolate lovers in Triple Chocolate, and the second is a more contrasting experience in Chocolate Raspberry, now at weider.de.
