Limited-time electrolyte spin-off of the V8 Energy Drink launches at Walmart and Amazon

Yuzu Lemon V8 Energy Electrolytes

We just saw the mainstream brand V8 expand its selection of products in the energy drink category with a Zero Sugar version of the V8 Energy Drink. The product comes in a compact 8oz can, similar to the original Red Bull, and instead of 50 calories, the better-for-you option has five, thanks to its complete lack of sugar. Just in time for Summer, the brand is rolling out another extension to its energy drink that adds functionality in a different direction.

Now available for a limited time at the big box retailer Walmart and the online giant Amazon is a Yuzu Lemon V8 Energy Drink with Electrolytes. It is essentially a tangy, citrusy flavor of the brand’s energizing beverage plus an infusion of hydration-supporting electrolytes. The caffeine is still a light 80mg in an 8oz can from green and black tea with 13g of carbohydrates, a strong 12g of that sugar, 50 calories, and a combined 750mg of electrolytes.

As mentioned, the V8 Energy Drink with Electrolytes in its first-ever Yuzu Lemon flavor is only available for a short amount of time, and currently only at those two locations, Walmart and Amazon. It’s interesting to see the brand quickly experimenting basically with another functional spin-off of V8 Energy, and we imagine that if it goes well, the concept will be back.
