Musashi makes two creatine-infused protein powders and they are rather similar

Musashi Whey Protein And Creatine

Musashi, one of the longer-running and more successful supplement companies in Australia, is getting in on the creatine trend in a very different manner this month, beyond the traditional standalone product or even advanced creatine-based muscle builder. The brand has come out with two protein powder hybrids in High Protein + Creatine and 100% Whey + Creatine, both infused with a respectable dosage of classic muscle-building creatine.

You would think that with a pair of separate supplements relying on the same hybrid approach, mixing protein and creatine, they would have some distinct features separating them. While Musashi’s High Protein + Creatine and 100% Whey + Creatine are different, there isn’t much separating them. High Protein + Creatine features whey concentrate, skim milk, and pea and whey isolate to provide 30g of protein per serving with 5g of carbohydrates, most of that sugar, 3g of fat, 173 calories, and 3g of traditional creatine monohydrate.

Musashi High Protein Creatine

As for 100% Whey + Creatine, Musashi uses just whey concentrate and isolate, no skim milk or pea, to provide 24g of protein. The other macros are scaled down to with just under 3g of carbohydrates, 2g of fat, and 129 calories. Creatine monohydrate is in this one too at the same 3g, so again, there isn’t a huge difference between them, just those added protein sources in High Protein, which also has a bit of extra dexrose for slightly higher carbs.

If we had to choose between the two, we’d go 100% Whey + Creatine, not only because it relies entirely on whey for its muscle-building macronutrient, but it also has a 2kg tub size that completely offsets the lower cost of High Protein + Creatine, which only comes in a 900g tub. You can grab both straight from Musashi’s website at $78.99 (56.33 USD) for High Protein, and $84.99 (60.61 USD) for 100% Whey, or $154.99 (110.53 USD) for the 2kg.
