Muscle Milk opened a pop-up Prodega to show off its new and improved protein shakes

Muscle Milk Prodega

The legacy ready-to-drink protein brand Muscle Milk has refreshed the look, feel, and recipe behind its long-running, flagship product. It is still packed full of protein in a version with 26g of protein and the Pro Series with 33g; it’s also made using ultra-filtered milk, and it has no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. To celebrate the rollout, the creative company recently put together a very entertaining marketing stunt in New York with the Muscle Milk Prodega.

The company put together a pop-up shop that looked like a standard store from the outside, but as you walked in, you realized it was far from that. Behind the entrance were similarly branded foods promoting high-protein, anything from protein crackers and protein cereal to protein frosting and protein cake mix. It appeared to be poking fun at the proteinification explosion, where companies have injected their various foods with extra protein. Alongside all of the items was the sign “100% Macros 0% Taste”, and then at the back of the Prodega was another side.

Through those doors was a full-on Muscle Milk set up, giving visitors the chance to sample the refreshed version of the delicious, milkshake-like beverage in all four of its traditional flavors in Chocolate, Vanilla, Cookies & Cream, and Strawberry. You can now get your hands on the new and improved Muscle Milk protein shakes in retailers as they gradually roll out, or you can go to Amazon and get your hands on the regular and higher-protein varieties immediately.
