Currently Premier Protein’s Shake is 40 cents cheaper than a serving of its protein powder

Premier Protein Shake Costco Sale Versus Protein Powder

Premier Protein has a deal on right now at Costco, exclusively through its online store at costco.com, that is well worth taking notice of. For a limited time, you can get a large 18-pack of the signature Premier Protein Shake at $34.49, which is a lot of protein since you get 30g of the muscle-building macronutrient in every 11oz carton. What makes it stand out even more than the value is how good the cost is compared to the brand’s own tub of protein powder.

Through Walmart, currently a 2lb tub of Premier Protein Powder is $39.49, or an identical price per unit of $78.98 for two. That tub has a total of 17 servings, each packing the same amount of protein as the Premier Protein Shake at 30g. The point there is that it’s about 40 cents cheaper — 18% savings — for fans of the brand to consume their protein by way of a convenient,t ready-to-drink shake, that you can grab and go, versus a bulk tub of protein powder.

That is a comparison that several years ago would not have made sense or even been worthwhile looking at. Ready-to-drink has always been the more premium way to go, and that’s the case with most things in the world; the quicker or more convenient option comes at a higher cost. Again, it’s an interesting deal Costco has going on, and to lean the argument even further, Premier Protein has over twice as many flavors of the beverage at Costco as Walmart has the powder.
