The Eastern European, Middle Asian beverage brand Gorilla, which has also been building a presence here in the U.S., tends to stand out with intricate flavor extensions to its signature, caffeine-fueled, typically high-sugar energy drink. The long-running company really surprised us a few months ago by stepping away from the canned and carbonated format and introducing something edible with delicious gummy candies packed with caffeine.
Gorilla looks like it is about to make another interesting move that’ll take it into another unfamiliar format, but it is something many companies that have energy drinks are involved in. The international brand has shared an illustration of what to us looks like a bag of powder supplement tubs. It’s not clear enough to confirm exactly what we’re looking at, but if we had to guess, we feel we’re about to see the launch of a Gorilla Ultimate Pre-Workout.
Getting into supplements is a fitting move for a brand that’s done so well in energy drinks for as long as Gorilla has, and as mentioned, it’s something many other functional beverage makers take part in. With that said, it’s very rare that a company that starts in energy drinks jumps over to supplements. That is what Gorilla looks like it’s about to do, although we will have to wait for the complete reveal or release to be completely sure.
