As big a topic as Kai Greene’s all new supplement company is, Dynamik Muscle, it now appears that there is an even bigger story emerging. While the sport of bodybuilding isn’t something we talk about too much here, as it’s usually all about supplements. We have been getting a lot of questions about whether or not the face of Dynamik will in fact be competing in this year’s Olympia. A few weeks ago it wasn’t even a question, recently however a lot of evidence has surfaced suggesting the Predator may not be taking the stage.
The story really seems to have started last week after a few forum threads, then posts from various bodybuilding websites, and now we’ve got videos from almost everybody on the topic. The facts backing it all up are that Kai hasn’t officially signed on to compete, nor has he made any announcements through social media mentioning the Mr. Olympia. If that isn’t enough, in Flex Online’s Olympia preview, of the five athletes talked about the Predator is not one of them. Kai is also currently missing from all of the promotional material plastered around the Orleans Hotel and Casino, which is where the Mr. Olympia contest is taking place.
The one fact we know of that doesn’t necessarily affect Kai competing anyway is that Dynamik Muscle won’t be at the Olympia Expo. Despite being a new brand we did get confirmation from the team at Dynamik that they are giving it a miss this year. As mysterious and confusing as the whole story is, we will know for sure if the three time Mr. Olympia runner-up is competing by this Wednesday. Apparently there is an athlete’s meeting on the 16th, and if the Predator isn’t there for that then it’s not a case of whether or not he’s competing, it’s that he won’t be allowed to.
Regardless of what ever Kai Greene ends up doing, he has definitely caused a stir which is ideally what you’d want when launching your own brand. One look at his Facebook page and you can see people are going there to question him about his Olympia appearance. While that doesn’t necessarily mean those people will take an interest in Dynamik Muscle, it would be difficult for them not to see or notice it.
