Introducing Crik Nutrition and its cricket based protein powder

cricket protein

New supplement companies pop up almost every week now, some with minor differences and some that just look like all the others. On occasions you do find a brand that has something unique, which is definitely the case for Crik Nutrition. At the moment the brand only makes the one product with a vanilla flavored protein powder. What makes it so different is that the formula features cricket and plant-based protein sources.

As strange as it sounds Crik’s supplement is very real and available. Looking at its label the protein powder isn’t actually too far off your traditional whey formula macro wise, with each serving featuring 18g of protein from cricket, pea, hemp and brown rice protein. 9g of carbohydrates (4g fiber, 1g sugar), 4g of fat (1g saturated), and a total of 140 calories. Outside of being a cricket and plant-based protein, Crik sets its product further a part from its competitors with a few other highlights such as no gluten, lactose, GMOs, soy or added sugar.

Being as unique as it is, it’s no surprise that Crik’s supplement is a little more expensive than most other proteins. Direct from the brand the product will cost you $74.99 for a 985g 30 serving tub, which comes in just the flavor at the moment with Vanilla.
