While we aren’t usually treated to anything entirely new from Optimum Nutrition at major expos, that is exactly what the brand has at this year’s Arnold Sports Festival. Optimum has definitely surprised us with its all new Gold Standard Series supplement officially titled Gold Standard BCAA. The product is just as it’s titled, a BCAA formula with a few extra ingredients thrown in on top.
Gold Standard BCAA’s combination is actually quite straightforward with 5g of BCAAs at the classic 2:1:1 ratio, 200mg of rhodiola, 250mg of the branded immunity ingredient Wellmune WPG, and lastly electrolytes for performance. Those features and doses are all from a single 10g serving, with a total of 28 in each tub of the supplement.
When it launches in the next couple of months Gold Standard BCAA is due to be available in four flavors, Fruit Punch, Watermelon, Cranberry Lemonade and Strawberry Kiwi. We were in fact fortunate enough to try Strawberry Kiwi, which based off the two servings we had we can say is definitely a delicious strawberry heavy recipe.
