Optimum Nutrition downsizes its 1,200-calorie gainer to a 3lb tub with four servings

Optimum Smaller 3lb Serious Mass

Serious Mass is Optimum Nutrition’s beast of a competitor in the mass gainer market, and while it’s not as well-known as the iconic Gold Standard 100% Whey, it is one of the most popular in the world and incredibly reliable for what it is. As with most of the mass protein powders out there, Serious Mass is packed to the brim, where per serving, you get 50g of protein, 251g of carbohydrates, 29g of that sugar, a low 6g of fat, and an eye-watering 1,260 calories, plus 5g of muscle-building creatine monohydrate.

With the serving size tipping the scales at 340g, you can imagine how few servings you get per unit, where the 12lb sack has 16 servings, enough for four per week for a month. The options only get smaller from there, including the newest extension to Optimum Nutrition’s Serious Mass in a 3lb tub. The option has gone live on Amazon, and while it is priced low at $32 in Chocolate and Vanilla flavors, if you take the full serving, you get just four shakes, but you can always scale down; it all depends on what fits your diet.
