Over the past couple of years we’ve seen almost every brand that has a protein powder put together some kind of birthday cake variant. Some have even gone as far as birthday cake flavored protein bars, such as MusclePharm’s Combat Crunch and Oh Yeah’s two birthday efforts regular and Chocolate Birthday Cake. One of the few names we had yet to see any kind of birthday product from was Optimum Nutrition, however that has now changed.
An all new flavor for Optimum’s very well known protein powder 100% Whey Gold Standard has been confirmed, which as you might have guessed is called Birthday Cake. For now we don’t know if it’s going to be a special edition option or anything like that, although it is going to be limited in sizes. Despite all the other flavors coming in quite a variety of volumes, Optimum’s Birthday Cake Gold Standard has only been confirmed in the one 2lb tub size.
