Dr. Zak’s introduces High Protein Cookies and Clusters at FIBO

Dr Zak’s is a functional food company that has introduced two all-new products at the 2017 FIBO expo. If you’re not familiar with the line, the brand produces quite the list of protein snacks and food with things like high protein spreads, bread, and pasta.

Joining the Dr Zak’s family this week are two very delicious snacks, with palm oil free High Protein Cookies and High Protein Clusters, both introduced in three different flavors.

The High Protein Cookie is a 60g snack available in Triple Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and regular Chocolate Chip. Most of the macros behind the flavors do vary with 15g of protein, 28/30/29g (triple/caramel/choc) of carbohydrates, 1.6/2.4/0g of sugar, 6.1/5.6/6.2g of fat, with a reasonably low 210/211/214 calories.

We did get to try the cookie, and can tell you first hand that it is easily the softest protein cookie we’ve come across. It’s fairly well packed with chocolate chips, but unlike a number of other cookies they’re not the highlight of the snack, as its very soft consistency is a treat in itself.

As for Dr Zak’s High Protein Clusters, the flavors making up that menu are Fruit & Yogurt, Chocolate, and a rather unique Chipotle. Just like the cookies, the macros do vary from flavor to flavor with 11/10/12g (fruit/choc/chipotle) of protein, 10/10/7g of carbohydrates, 4.3/2.5/0.8g of sugar, and only 128/134/135 calories.

The brand has confirmed that both the High Protein Cookies and High Protein Clusters are going to be available in Europe over the next few weeks, then in the UK a little later.
