Myprotein’s women’s pre-workout light on more than just caffeine

Myprotein Active Women Pre-Workout

It was just last week that we saw Myprotein add to its fast growing ladies line of supplements, the Active Women Series. Today we have news of yet another addition to the family with the Active Women Pre-Workout.

As its name suggests, the new Active Women Series product from Myprotein is a pre-workout designed for women. The supplement is intended to be a low caffeine solution, ideal for lifters that prefer to train later in the evening and aren’t into a hefty hit of stimulants. Each serving provides just 75mg of caffeine as well as a good 4.2g dose of BCAAs for extra recovery.

Like the caffeine in Myprotein’s new Active Women Pre-Workout, the dosing of some of its other ingredients are also little lower than we’re used to seeing. Some examples are a gram of citrulline malate, something we’ve seen up around 6 to 8g, choline bitartrate at 200mg, and the performance enhancer beta-alanine at half a gram, as opposed to its more common 3g+.

While the lighter caffeine is justifiable, as less caffeine means less of a hit, the same can’t be said for the other ingredients. You should want full doses of the likes of citrulline and beta-alanine, even if you want less of an energy kick later in the day, as their bigger doses won’t get in the way of that.

If you’d like to take the new Myprotein Active Women Series entry out for a spin, you can now grab it through the brand’s international website at myprotein.com. It’ll cost you just £23.99 ($31.58 USD) for a full 25 serving tub, available in two flavors, Summerfruit and Cranberries and Pomegranate.
