To go with its major 2018 rebrand, Sparta Nutrition has put together a separate version of its pre-workout supplement Kraken. The new product is one of the first releases in the brand’s stylish looking Black Series, introducing Kraken Black.
What is it
Sparta Nutrition’s new Kraken Black is intended to be an extreme pre-workout solution compared to its more colorful, regular Kraken. The brand has filled it with ingredients to increase energy, maximize focus, and enhance endurance, delivering an overall, much more intense experience.
Formula
In terms of ingredients, Kraken Black comes with a number of the same features as the regular Kraken. Just like the colorful version, Kraken Black includes 3.2g of beta-alanine for performance, 4g of citrulline and 2g of HydroMax for pumps, and at slightly higher doses, cocoa seed and caffeine for energy.
On top of the higher dose of caffeine, Sparta Nutrition has also included three new ingredients in Kraken Black to help deliver that more intense experience. They are higenamine and hordenine dosed at 50mg each, and 300mg of b-phenylethylamine HCl.

As mentioned, Kraken Black is Sparta Nutrition’s more intense pre-workout, not intended for the faint of heart. It has a few extra ingredients in the mix for energy that the regular Kraken does not as well as 100mg more caffeine per maximum serving, with Kraken also having ingredients Kraken Black does not.
