The functional food and protein snack categories continue to grow week after week with new and exciting products. A lot of those products appear to be coming from the European market, which has brought us yet another exciting item this week from the innovative chocolate company Cocoa+.

The newest product from the UK-based Cocoa+ is Protein Chocolate Truffles, which is said to be the first “real” protein chocolate truffle. The tasty looking treat features a solid 40% milk chocolate outer with a creamy truffle center blending together a mouthwatering mix of hazelnuts and milk protein chocolate.

You can get a good look at the promising new treat from Cocoa+ in the image above. While it may look like a sugary, calorie-loaded snack, its macros are actually not too bad. A single bag of Protein Chocolate Truffles comes with five 10g truffles, each providing 2.6g of protein, 3.4g of fat, 3.1g of carbohydrates, just 1.2g of sugar, and 53 calories.

Cocoa+ Protein Chocolate Truffles are now available to order from all over the world through the brand’s online store. The rich and sweet looking chocolate treat comes in packs of three, six, or 12, and gets cheaper with the more you buy. The 12 pack is priced at £20.99 (26.11 USD) and works out to only £1.75 per bag.
